Stuck In A Moment

I used to listen to the band U-2 a lot years ago. They had one song, the lyrics of which intrigued me.

The song is called “Stuck In A Moment”.  Here’s the lyrics to the chorus:

“You’ve got to get yourself together

You’ve got stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it

Don’t say that later will be better

Now you’re stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it.”

This song made me think of the years I had felt like that, but thankfully, I am no longer a slave to that junk.   It also made me think of friends and loved ones who have been stuck in their awful moment for a lifetime.  It’s heartbreaking.

Even worse, they don’t believe they can get out of it permanently. It doesn’t have to be this way.

If you want to get out of the cycle of pain and loss, you’ll find God willing to help you through the Power of Christ’s Resurrection.
